Description: The primary host of the raveyard system, Polybius- is a long time Machinekin and the original founder of Machinesoul.net, an intended resource for Machinekin all over the internet. That said, Polybius is not and never has been a mod of the affiliated discord server, and knows very little about what goes on in there. It has served as staff for Othercon, a discord-hosted otherkin convention, in the past. Bodily it is a 28 year old gender non-conforming trans man, though it doesn't really connect with its physical body as it has identified as nonhuman for well over a decade now. It would mean a lot to it that you read its paper Kill All Humans, which is interestingly about what being machinekin means to us. Mind you it was written before the rise of AI. The title is a reference to Bender from Futurama.

As far as personal lore goes, Polybius is very loosely based on the urban legend of the same name. It is a sentient robotic lifeform known as a Monitor. The Monitors have long survived after the extinction of all biological lifeforms on their home planet. Polybius itself is known as a criminal to the monitor homeworld in that it is uniquely able to flash patterns with its screen that give it the ability of mind control, transmitting viruses and in some cases- death. The royal class attempted to capture it to use these abilities as a living weapon of warfare.

Following its excape, Polybius goes into hiding on A'Panara [we'll make a page about this]. Most monitors are distrusting of biological lifeforms, even hostile towards them. Polybius is as polite as it really can be, though it does come off as rude or cold. It's monotone. Monitors communicate through clicks, beeps and telepathic signal. Polybius essentially taught itself to emulate speech in the same way that a computer of the 80s would have. Aside from learned inflection, its speaking skills are on par with a Comodore 64. Its vocabulary is incredibly proper and formal.
